Invitation

When two of my friends approached me with their life changing news, I offered to create their wedding invitation as a gift. They were to hold a classic ‘country wedding’ in Wooragee and gave me free reign to create the invite (keeping within the official wedding colours; grey and yellow).

I wanted to create something different and interactive that would really grab people’s attention. Being a country wedding, a simple map of the area was required to guide ‘out of towners’. I decided to combine everything together. I illustrated the map, created a simple ‘poster’ and wrapped the invitation itself within. The idea was to show two families that had previously been just acquaintances, were now joining together – for life.
